Hawkins would like to congratulate Andrew Reeves, Paul Gee, and Julie Poppitt for a combined 40 years of service.<\/p>

Andrew<\/a> joined our Reigate office in 2013, specifically to develop the Built Environment<\/a> capability of the company, which now stands at 30 experts, including civil, structural, fire, building services and geotechnical engineers, architects and hydrologists. Andrew has investigated over 300 civil and structural cases including flooding, building collapses, retaining wall and foundation failures, as well as storm and vibration damage. Andrew became the Marketing Director in October 2021.<\/p>

Reflecting on his ten years at Hawkins Andrew said \u201cMy most challenging case was the tragic collapse of the boiler house at Didcot Power Station in 2016, which is still ongoing. My most enjoyable time with Hawkins was the months spent in Singapore in 2018 and 2019 proving the market for forensic civil engineers, in particular investigating the failure of a piled retaining wall in the Philippines, where the piles had moved up to five metres. These two diverse experiences exemplify the varied work that Hawkins carries out around the world\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Senior Associate Paul Gee<\/a> also joined Hawkins in 2013 and is based in our Manchester office. Paul has investigated over 450 cases during his tenure at Hawkins and predominantly deals with Fire and Electrical incidents.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Paul says, \u201cApparently, I have now been at Hawkins for 10 years! I have to say it feels like less than three and I continue to enjoy each new challenge and the people I meet each time I make a new site visit\u201d.<\/em><\/p>

Julie joined Hawkins on 1 September 2003 as the Office Manager of our newly opened Birmingham office where she recalls it being in its infancy with just three investigators. Julie coordinates the day-to-day running of the new office and is always available to help our clients and experts respectively.<\/p>

Julie remembers the first new instructions for each of the experts in the Birmingham office; a fire in a public house, an incident at the National Motorcycle Museum, and a faulty Peugeot. She also explains that the Danish pastries were particularly memorable whilst the new office was getting up and running. Julie had the following to say about her time at Hawkins \u201cThe variety of work which I am involved with daily, continually ignites the passion If have for working at Hawkins. Bring on the next anniversary!\u201d.<\/em><\/p>
